The best way to recover your data is to use your data back-up that you have been updating regularly.

Ghost Imaging! This is a procedure that will create a snap shot of your current hard drive. This image file can be used to do a complete restore of the hard drive, in-case of a catastrophic failure. The image file is dated so as time passes the data will also age and thus becomes obsolete. However if your data is stored on another computer such as a server the file image can reduce significantly the rebuilding the PC.
Ghost images can be created on a regular basis to keep it current.
